Our New Ranch

We are planning our retirement and have decided that we will be buying a ranch in Laramie, Wyoming. We already have started the process of buying our lot - it's in a development called "Wild Horse Ranch". The website is: http://www.wildhorseranchwy.com/ The development just opened in April '07 and when completed will be a gated community with all owners having 35-45 acres each. Our lot is GORGEOUS! It is 40.15 acres and just amazing! We have Lake Hattie views that are wonderful and 360 degree views all around of mountains - Sheep Mountain, Rocky Mountains, Table Top Mountain, and Snowy Ridge. The lot itself is rolling hills and is situated on the corner of Lakeview Drive and Outlaw Road - perfect combination of civilization and wild wild west!!!

We will not be retiring until October 2008 so we will be taking the time in the interim to decide what type of house we want to build and what kind of budget we're going to try to stick to! It's very exciting! Our house will be 12 miles west of Laramie, and about 5 minutes west of us is Medicine Bow National Forest - and it is gorgeous!!!!

We have wildlife - true to it's name, Wild Horse Ranch has .... wild horses! And also antelope, deer, elk, coyotes, an occassional black bear (just a baby one), and little things like chipmunks, ground hogs and prairie dogs...
