So Grateful for Friends!!!!

A few weeks back I was soooo happy and blessed to have a visit from our Washington friends Dena and David.  It was so wonderful to share our town with them and they, along with their kids, were such a great blessing to us.  Their friendship is so near and dear to our hearts.  I didn't know how much I missed them until they were gone and on their way to their new duty station in Oklahoma.  I got a little teary eyed.  Ok, so I cried like a baby.  Don't judge.

Dena has a depth to her that I so appreciate.  She is so real.  And she is so humble, I don't think she has any idea what a role model she is for me and those around her.

Anyway - one of the neat little gems that she dropped on me happened in the car when we were driving up to see the snow in the mountains.  She said, "Sometimes I like to listen to Christian music that is never going to be cross-over.  This song...it will never be a cross over song - and that is awesome!"  We were listening to Tommy Walker's version of "The Lord's Prayer" - and loving it.  And she was right - it's nice to hear a song that talks about God.  About Jesus.  About our gratefulness.  Just straight up gospel, people!!!  Can I get an amen???

Anyway - since that visit, this song has been in my car and my girls have memorized it!  And the other day, with friends in the car, Darian asked that we play it and we sang and it was awesome!

God is good...thank you for loving me and for giving me such wonderful friends.
The Lord's Prayer

Father in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven

Father in heaven
Honored and praised be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us our debts as
We forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil

For Thine is the kingdom
And the power and the glory
Forever and ever amen.

Summertime Update...

We're enjoying our summer thus far - Darian and Jordyn went to Camp Wondervu and had a great time! Murray is on his 4-10's schedule so he gets Fridays off (in theory...but gotta love overtime!!!!) I have been busy and working on my photography and mostly relaxing...I love summer.

What I hate are these insane Wyoming mosquitos! The mosquito trucks run every few nights down the alley behind our house and I truly have considered chasing after it the way little kids chase the ice cream truck! LOL I know that this mosquito craziness will pass, and all things considered, I still love love love being here in beautiful Wyoming.

Be blessed friends!
